When writing our recent book, Encyclopedia Macintosh, we needed a PostScript font with all of the keyboard characters used on Mac keyboards. Since we couldn't find one, we made one. Here it is.
Encyclofont is a PostScript font that provides access to many special Macintosh keyboard characters not available in any standard PostScript fonts. These character are most often needed to produce software documentation.
The Characters included are: (you will see the characters between the brackets if you have the Encyclofont.bmap file installed)
(a) Apple logo = a
(c) Command Key = c
(d) Delete Key = d
(e) Escape Key = e
(f) Forward Delete = f
(k) Keypad = k
(l) Control = l
(n) Enter = n
(o) Option = o
(r) Return =r
(s) Shift = s
(t) Tab = t
(z) Spacebar = z
(,) Drag = ,
(.) Click = .
To use this font, simple install the EncycloFont.bmap using the Font/DA Mover, or with Suitcase or MasterJuggler, and copy the file
EncycFon into your System folder (you can download this file to your PostScript printer if you wish).
